Moreover, The Archeological Survey Of India has put up a board on the fort gate that no one will be allowed inside the fort after sunset and before sunrise. As per the local residents whoever has tried to stay inside the fort after sunset was not found alive.

The fort is one of the star tourist attractions in Rajasthan. A 17th Century fort built by Man Singh I for his younger brother Madho Singh. It is located on the border of the Sariska Reserve in Alwar district of Rajasthan. India’s Most Haunted place is famous for its rich history and paranormal incidents.

As per the traditional beliefs, Sadhu named Baba Balau Nath lived within the fort area warned the king that the shadow of any house within the fort area should not be taller than his house. If the shadow of any house in the fort area fell on his house then the destruction of the fort would happen. The kings followed his order. But their heirs neglected his words and led to the destruction of the fort town.
Another story is about tantrik Singhia’s curse. He was well skilled in black magic, fell in love with beautiful Princess Ratnavati. He saw the princess maid buying the perfume for her in the village. He immediately cast a spell on it so that Ratnavati would fall in love with him. However, the princess got to know of his evil plans she threw the bottle. It turned into a boulder and hit the tantrik. He was crushed under its weight, but before he died, he cursed the princess, her family, and the entire village.
People who reside in nearby places of Bhangarh claim to have heard Bhangarh ghosts screams, sounds of bangles in the rooms, voices of women crying, and ghostly smells after dusk. Strange lights, Ghostly shadows, and unusual sounds of music and dances have also been reported.
Things To Do In Bhangarh Fort And Places Of Interest:
Dancers’ Haveli and Jauhari Bazar are well deserved to watch in Bhangarh Fort The Fort Of Ghosts. Another star attraction in the fort is Gopinath Temple, crossing which we reached the Royal Palace. It is located at the farthest end of the fort area. Standing on the terrace of the Royal Palace one can view the vast expanse of the fort. The fort contains four gates – Lahori Gate, Ajmeri Gate, Phulbari Gate and Delhi Gate.
Best Time To Visit:
The best time to visit Bhangarh fort is from September to February. In summers better not to visit Bhangarh due to the scorching heat.
