Louvre Abu Dhabi, the art museum displaying over 620 pieces and artifacts including Degas, Van Gogh, Napoleon painting, Monet, and Picasso. Out of the 620 pieces, 235 pieces are from the museum’s own collection. It cost over whooping £1 billion for its construction. Interestingly, Abu Dhabi is renting the name “Louvre” for 30 years and paid France nearly £399 million to do so. Moreover, they loaned 300 artworks from France, which cost £571 million. Globes: Visions of the World
How did the globes originate?. Who were the minds behind these spheres, ellipses, and cycles?. What About the never-ending quest of knowledge, adventure, and invention?. The vision of the world exhibition brought together over two millennia of globes, maps, art and scientific instruments in one epic journey of discovery.
Humans have been inventing new models and scientific instruments to Familiarizing and explore the world for thousands of years. Just within 11 weeks, ‘Globes’ bags to display the abundant rare and beautiful objects. The visitors can witness the Arab astrolabe and celestial globes.
Important Information For Visitors:
The museum remains shut during Mondays.
The opening timings of the museum are as follows.
Saturday, Sunday, Tuesday, and Wednesday: 10 AM to 8 PM.
Thursday and Friday: 10 Am to 10 PM.
